What is database management system

What is DBMS?

Hello guys, many of you heard about DBMS before. So here we are going to discuss some topics about DBMS like what is DBMS? how does DBMS works etc?

DBMS is s short form of the database management system. And it's easy to understand by its name.

DBMS is the system or software of management for the database in which you can do anything with data like create, save, delete etc.

The users and programmer both can use the software. both can manage or update the data in DBMS.

There are lots of benefits of DBMS that you should know.

So let's see what is DBMS and how does it work.

The database is one collection of related data and that used to produce information by data collection of facts and figures.

Most of the data represent the recordable facts.

Data helps to produce information, which depends on facts.

For example,

If we have a marks report of a whole class then we can conclude between toper students and average students.

Data management system stores data as it can be easy to retrieve, manipulate and information produced.

Work of DBMS

1# Data redundancy.

Every file system has its own file. In some case, there is automatically create some duplicate files. There is store only one file at one place in DBMS, so it reduces file redundancy in DBMS.

2# Sharing of data.

The data sharing in DBMS is only occurred by an authorized user. Where data administrator controls a data any give permission to the user to access data.

3# Data consistency.

DBMS can prevent a duplicate of the same type of data in the database repeatedly.

4# Integration of Data.

All the data in the DBMS are in the table and there are several tables in the single database. The relationships between these tables can be made so that the recovery and updating process becomes easy.

5# Data security.

All data in DBMS is controlled by the Data Administrator. Where the administrator decides whether to give data to the user or not. The administrator also decides which location to access the user and how much data to be given to the user. This increases the data security and the data does not get anybody's hand.

6# Remove procedure.

You all know that a computer is a machine and it can get worse at any point in time, and data may be lost if hardware or software fails at any time. There is an option to recover this type of situation in DBMS.

Types of DBMS

1# Network database.

In this type of database, data is shown as a record and the data link between the data is displayed.

2# Relational Database.

Data is stored in a table. Where data is stored in columns and rows. It is also known as the structural Database.

3# Hierarchical Database.

In this, data is represented as parent and child, which is in the tree structure.

Functions of DBMS

1# Create data - Data is created by DBMS and stored in a table.

2# Manage data - In this, data is managed so that it can be easily accessed.

3# Update data - Data can be updated according to the requirement.

4# Delete data - Data can be delete as user want.

5# Data Backup - Data is backed up in order to recover it when the system fails.

6# Data Recovery - In case of failure of the system, the data is recovered.

Last Words,

I hope you like it. I think everything ins here about DBMS, you may not have to go to any other site.
